ABOUT IH MOTORHOMES

BRITISH CAMPER MANUFACTURER

IH Motorhomes since 1992

From humble beginnings...

Starting off in 1992, IH Motorhomes has always been the vision of one man, and now, for over two decades, IH has been the name synonymous with prestige and passion in motorhome design.

From cabinet and pattern maker

to British camper manufacturer

As a cabinet and pattern marker by trade, Ian Hartley turned his hand to camper manufacturing in 1992. With his first conversion done, he took it to the motorhome show at York Racecourse. Not as an 'official' exhibitor, he just parked in the car park with a 'For Sale' sign. This drew the attention of a few people who loved the build quality. Before long, the show organisers heard about it and Ian was asked to exhibit at the shows. He soon sold the van, and the vast positive comments from passers-by made him think that maybe there was something to be had as a British camper manufacturer. Before you knew it, IH Motorhomes had established themselves as a competitive British Motorhome company.

A settling location

Starting out its camper manufacturing journey at a small lock up in Castleford, IH Motorhomes has developed and grown over the years, undertaking a number of site moves to keep up with the ever growing demand for IH Motorhomes. Finally, in 2005 IH Motorhomes moved to its current location in Knottingley, West Yorkshire, with a dedicated consultation area, NCC Approved Workshop and welcoming environment for all. Now an established British motorhome company, IH Motorhomes are one of the most renowned van conversion dealers in the country.

Ian Hartley

"Our plan has never been to sell as many motorhomes as possible, rather to be proud of the motorhomes we build, every one of them. The luxury motorhome market is a competitive industry and we are proud to be still setting the standard."
